HandyMatch
How it works About For pros
HandyMatch for local pros · Miami-Dade & Broward

Get local work that fits your trade — and win it on your terms.

HandyMatch sends you real homeowner requests in your service area. You write the proposal — your price, your scope, your availability. The homeowner compares and chooses. No race to reply first, no paying for dead-end leads.

How it works for pros

From sign-up to paid, in five steps.

You stay in control the whole way. Nothing is a job until a homeowner picks your proposal.

1

Tell us your trades and area

Pick the services you offer and the ZIP codes you cover. Upload a licence, insurance and ID if you have them — verified credentials unlock more categories.

2

Get matched to eligible opportunities

We send you requests you can actually take — the right trade, in your area, that you're legally eligible for. You see the job, photos and approximate location, not the homeowner's contact details.

3

Send a proposal

Set a fixed price, a range, or an on-site estimate. Spell out scope, conditions and when you can start. Message the homeowner first if you need to ask something.

4

Win the job on merit

The homeowner compares proposals side by side — price, scope, reviews, verification — and selects one. You compete on your work, not on who replied fastest.

5

Do the work and get reviewed

Once you're selected, the homeowner's contact and address are released. You arrange the work directly, mark it complete, and earn a review that helps you win the next one.

Licensed or not, there's work here

We route what's lawful — and describe you accurately.

Florida has no general "handyman" licence. If you don't hold a trade licence, you can still take on the smaller jobs the state lets you do without one — and we only send you those. We never describe you to homeowners as a contractor, because under Florida law that wording alone can cost an unlicensed pro their exemption.

If you do hold a licence, verifying it unlocks more categories and higher-value work — electrical, plumbing, roofing, HVAC, alarm and the rest — because some work always requires the right credential, at any price.

Either way, the eligibility check runs on every request before it reaches you. You never have to guess whether a job is one you're allowed to take.

What helps you win more work

A verified licence. Unlocks licensed categories and higher-value jobs.
Insurance on file. Homeowners see it as a verification badge on your proposals.
Clear proposals. Specific scope and conditions beat a bare number.
Fast, honest replies. Messaging before you quote builds trust and wins selections.
Good reviews. Completed jobs and ratings lift you in future matches.
Questions

Pro FAQ

What does it cost to join?
Joining and responding to opportunities is free during launch. HandyMatch earns its keep later, through an optional subscription to the HandyMatch Pro business tools — not by charging you per lead.
How do you verify me?
You upload the credentials you hold — a trade licence, an insurance certificate, and a photo ID. Our team reviews them against the issuing board or county record before your licensed categories go live. Pending is not the same as approved.
Do I have to accept every opportunity?
No. Opportunities are invitations, not assignments. Send a proposal on the ones that fit, and ignore the rest. Nothing becomes a job until a homeowner selects your proposal.
When and how do I get paid?
You arrange payment directly with the homeowner. HandyMatch does not process payments or take a cut of the job. Once you're selected, you get their contact details and handle the work and billing yourself.
Which areas do you cover?
Miami-Dade and Broward at launch. You choose the specific ZIP codes you want to serve, down to the county, city and postal level.
Will other pros see my price?
No. Your proposal is visible to the homeowner who made the request — never to competing pros.
